Who it's for

Contractors with strong visual projects, like landscaping, pools, and outdoor living.

What Meta ads are good for

Meta ads are Facebook and Instagram ads. They work differently from Google. Google puts you in front of people who are searching right now. Meta puts your work in front of people who are scrolling and have not searched yet.

That makes Meta a fit for some contractors and a poor fit for others. It is strongest where the work is visual and the purchase is planned: outdoor living, pools, landscaping, siding, and exterior remodels. It is weaker for urgent calls, like a broken furnace, where Google search wins because the homeowner needs help now.

How contractors use Meta ads

In general terms, there are three ways contractors tend to use Meta well.

Retargeting

Someone visits your website, looks at a project, and leaves. Retargeting shows them your work again on Facebook or Instagram over the following days. For big purchases with a long research phase, staying in front of that person can matter. Retargeting depends on proper tracking on your site, which we set up. The audience is small compared to the total market, so it is usually a modest part of the plan, not the whole thing.

Financing and seasonal offers

If you offer financing, or run a seasonal push like a spring landscaping slot or a fall roof inspection, Meta is a good place to say so. Homeowners who were not planning to call yet may notice an offer that makes the first step feel easy. The offer needs to be real and clearly stated.

Awareness

Many homeowners will need a contractor within the next year and do not know who to call. Showing finished work in your service area builds familiarity. When they do need someone, your name is already in their head. This is slower and harder to measure, so we treat it as a supporting role.

Creative: your real project photos and video

Ads live or die on what people see. We build them from your actual projects: before and after photos, short clips of the crew at work, and finished results. Stock images are easy to spot, and homeowners scroll past them.

If your photos are weak, we tell you early. Ask your crews to shoot a few photos and a short video clip at the start, middle, and end of each job, and we will take it from there. A phone video of a completed backyard is often better than a polished stock shot. Your portfolio is a good indicator of what we will have to work with. Good project photos help across every channel, so improving them is worth it.

Targeting your service area

We set targeting around the cities and neighborhoods you actually serve. Showing ads to people two hours away wastes money. Within the area, we can narrow by homeowner type and interests, and we adjust as we see who responds.

Meta's targeting tools change over time, so we review them as we go rather than set them once.

Timing matters in the trades. A landscaping company might run ads for design consultations in late winter, when homeowners plan spring projects. A pool builder might start earlier in the year, since pool projects take months to schedule. A roofer might focus on awareness and inspections outside of storm season. We build the calendar around how your work is scheduled, not around a generic ad plan.

Lead forms or landing pages

When someone taps an ad, they can fill out a form inside Facebook or Instagram, or go to a page on your site. Lead forms are quick and work well on phones. Landing pages let you show more proof and filter for serious buyers. We often test both. If we use a landing page, we build it to match the ad, as we do with our landing page design work.

Leads from social ads usually need a fast follow-up. These people did not search for you, so the first call or text matters. We help set up how leads reach you.

Meta and Google together

Meta does not replace Google Ads. Many contractors start with Google and add Meta later, once search is working. Google collects people with an immediate need. Meta builds interest in people with a future one. For a look at the search side, see our PPC agency page.

Our Google Ads management page covers how we run search campaigns.

Pricing, fit, and what to expect

We do not post a flat price for Meta ads on our pricing page. We scope it with you on a call, based on your trade, area, and goals. Your ad budget is paid to Meta, separate from any management fee. Our pricing page lists the services that have posted prices, and you can contact us about Meta.

Like our other growth services, Meta ads are for home service contractors doing $300K or more a year, with one partner per trade per market. Expect early weeks to be about testing creative and audiences. We report what we learn, and we do not promise specific results.

A word on measurement. Because Meta reaches people who were not searching, leads can take longer to turn into jobs, and some of the credit shows up later as calls from search. We watch both sides, and our call tracking and lead reporting helps us see what the ads set in motion.

We will also tell you if Meta is not the right move yet. If your Google presence is thin, or your photos are not strong, that money is often better spent elsewhere first.
