Growth marketing for home service contractors

Fierce Island runs growth marketing for home service contractors. We get you found in Google and on the map, named by AI tools like ChatGPT, and trusted by the homeowners who read your reviews. We work with roofers, siding and gutter companies, excavators, HVAC companies, concrete and pool contractors, and landscapers.

This page is the map. Below, we group our 13 marketing services by the job each one does, with a short note on every one. Click through for the full details. If you want to see how everything runs together, start with our digital marketing agency page.

Jared and Rachelle Nelson run Fierce Island from Boise, Idaho, and we work with contractors nationwide. We are a boutique team. There are no account managers and no outsourcing, so the people you talk to are the people doing the work. We have a 5.0 rating on Google, and BusinessRate named us Best of 2026 for Website Designer in Boise.

Getting found in Google and the map pack

Most jobs start with a search. A homeowner types in a service and a city, and Google shows a map with three businesses above the regular results. That group is called the map pack. For many home service searches, it is where the calls come from. These four services work on that. If you are in or near Boise, our SEO services in Boise page shows how that looks locally.

  • SEO agency: the technical fixes, page content, and links that move your pages up in Google.
  • Local SEO for trades: how we win the map pack in your trade, including how service areas work when you drive to the customer.
  • Local SEO services: a plain checklist of what good local SEO includes, useful if you are comparing companies.
  • Service and location page strategy: a plan for which service and city pages you need, so each one can rank on its own.

Why we build pages for each service and city

Homeowners search for specific things. Someone who needs a roof replaced does not search for roofing. They search for roof replacement in a city. A page built for that exact search gives Google and AI tools a clear answer. One page that tries to cover everything gives them a vague one.

The same pages do double duty. They help you rank, they give AI tools something to quote, and they can serve as landing pages when you run ads.

Getting named when homeowners ask AI

More homeowners now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Google AI who to hire. They get a short answer with a few names in it. Our AEO agency work is about being one of those names. We clean up your business facts, write pages that answer real customer questions, and test the AI tools to see where you show up and where you do not.

AI tools read many of the same pages that Google reads, so the search work and the AI work help each other. That is why we say SEO/AEO as one thing. Idaho Seamless Gutter went from 1.5% to 66.2% visibility on Perplexity after one month of AEO/GEO work. That is one client in one market, and your results will depend on your trade and where you start. To see how AI tools see your business today, try our AI visibility gap report.

Your Google profile and your reviews

When a homeowner compares you to two other companies on the map, they look at your profile and your reviews. A full profile, fresh photos, and recent reviews help you win that comparison. These three services cover it.

  • Google Business Profile optimization: we set up and manage your listing, with a post and three photos or videos every week and a reply to every review within 24 hours. It is $249 per month plus a $199 setup.
  • Google My Business: the same listing under its old name. This is the page for contractors whose profile is unverified, suspended, or not showing up. We review your situation first, because results depend on the case.
  • Reputation management: Review Barracuda sends review requests by text and email through your CRM, and your crews get metal QR code review cards. It is $199 per month plus a $299 setup.

Why these two belong together

Your profile is the storefront and your reviews are the proof. A great profile with few reviews gets passed over. Plenty of reviews on a neglected profile wastes the work your crews already did. Reviews also give AI tools real words to quote when someone asks who to call, so this work helps your AI visibility too.

Paid demand for homeowners ready to hire

Ads reach people who are searching right now. SEO/AEO builds over time, and ads can fill the gap while it does. We run paid work for contractors in two ways.

  • PPC agency: Google Ads and Local Services Ads, with a landing page built for each campaign. Google Ads management is $650 per month plus ad spend, with a 3-month minimum. Local Services Ads start from $120 per month. For the full Google Ads details, see our Google Ads management page.
  • Meta ads for contractors: Facebook and Instagram ads that show your finished work to homeowners planning a project. There is no flat price for this one. We scope it with you on a call.

When ads come first, and when they wait

In some slow markets, ads go first because they give you data quickly. In others, SEO/AEO and AI visibility are the growth engine and ads are optional. If your crews are booked for months, more leads can stretch your team, so we may hold off on ads until you have room. We recommend what fits your market.

Planning, tracking, and what it costs

You do not need every channel. Two services help you decide what to do and see what is working.

  • Lead generation strategies: we map which channels fit your trade, your market, and your budget, then build the plan.
  • Call tracking and lead reporting: we track calls and forms back to the channel that produced them and report it monthly in Sonar Analytics, which comes with every growth service.

Posted prices

We price each channel on its own, so you pay for what you use. SEO/AEO + GEO is $1,500 per month plus a $499 setup. The Google profile, reviews, and ads prices are listed above, and every price is on our pricing page.

Most contractors do not need everything on day one. We recommend a starting point based on your market and add from there. If a channel does not fit yet, we say so.
