Why contractor websites need a different approach
Custom website design for contractors in Boise, Idaho has one goal: make a homeowner trust you enough to call. A new roof, a paver patio, or a furnace replacement is a big purchase. People look at several companies first. Your site often decides who gets the call.
Most contractor sites look alike. A stock photo, a list of services, and a phone number. That works against you, because when every company looks the same, the buyer compares on price. A site that shows your finished work, your reviews, and a clear way to reach you gives homeowners a reason to pick you before they ever see a quote.
We design with that in mind. Think about what a homeowner is asking at each step. Is this company local? Have they done my kind of job? Do they have good reviews? Will they call me back? The site answers each one before the homeowner has to ask.
The pages a contractor site needs
We plan the page list around how homeowners search. Three kinds of pages do most of the work.
Service pages
Each job type gets its own page. An outdoor living company might have separate pages for patios, retaining walls, and lighting. A roofer might have replacement, repair, and storm damage. Someone searching for one thing should land on a page about it. The Authority package includes up to five individual service pages, and Premium includes unlimited.
Location pages
If you work in several cities, each one can have a page that talks about the work you do there. These pages help you show up when someone searches for a service in their town. The Authority package includes up to three location pages, and Premium covers full location pages.
The project gallery
This is where finished work lives. We organize photos by job type, so a homeowner thinking about a deck sees decks. Your best work leads. Wet concrete and equipment shots don't sell a finished backyard.
Proof that closes the sale
Homeowners want to know you're real, you do good work, and you'll show up. We put proof where those doubts come up. That means reviews near the quote form, project photos on service pages, and a short explanation of how a job works from first call to finish.
If you carry a license, insurance, or manufacturer certifications and want to show them, we place those where they build confidence without cluttering the page. We use your real photos and your real reviews. Nothing on the site should be something you couldn't back up on a phone call.
A short how-it-works section helps more than most contractors expect. Three or four steps: the first call, the on-site visit, the written quote, the work. When homeowners can see the path, the first call feels less risky. It also helps the wrong customers sort themselves out before they call.
Built for calls and quote requests
Most homeowners look at contractor sites on their phones. So a tap-to-call button stays within reach on every page, and quote forms are short. We ask for what you need to follow up and leave the rest for the phone call.
We also set up call and form tracking so you can see which pages bring in leads. Every site we build includes analytics and lead tracking.
Urgent trades, like HVAC and roof leak repair, get extra care. The phone number sits at the top, the form is short, and the page says plainly what you offer. Planned jobs, like a pool or a patio, work differently. There, the gallery and the process do the heavy lifting, and the call to action invites a design conversation instead of pushing for an instant call.
Trades we build for
We've built websites for high-ticket home service businesses since 2017. That includes roofers, outdoor living companies, HVAC companies, siding and gutter contractors, excavators, concrete crews, and pool builders. Each trade has its own buying habits. A pool buyer researches for months. An HVAC customer may need help today. We design to match. Our industries pages show how we think about each one.
What we need from you is simple: your best project photos, your reviews, and a clear list of the jobs you want more of. If you tell us you'd rather do fewer small repairs and more full replacements, the site is built to lean that way. The page order, the photos up top, and the wording all follow your goal.
Website design vs. growth marketing
Websites are open to every contractor. Ongoing growth marketing is a separate service. It covers SEO/AEO, GEO, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, and Local Services Ads, and it's reserved for home service contractors doing $300K or more a year. We take on 15 partners total, one per trade per market.
So if you only need a great website, you can have one. If you later qualify for growth work, the site we build is already set up for it. You can read more on our local SEO/AEO for trades page.
What it costs
Website packages start at $3,900, and most projects land around $6,400. For most established contractors, the Authority package at $6,400 is the right size: 15 to 20 pages, a full project gallery, a blog, and Sanity CMS. The Premium package at $10,100 fits multi-location companies or a long service menu. See everything on our pricing page.
50% is due at kickoff and 50% at launch. Hosting and CMS are $75 per month. On Authority and Premium, you can add service pages and city pages over time in the CMS, so the site grows with the business instead of needing a rebuild. Ready to talk? Contact us and we'll recommend the right package.
